Summary of Proceedings from November 13, 2017, Mr. Cumston moved to approve, Mr. Huddle 2nd. Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried. Summary is approved.

OLD BUSINESS:

ORDINANCE 2017-56:

ORDINANCE TO VACATE ONE (1) 16.50’ WIDE EAST/WEST ALLEY LOCATED AT 136-150 W CENTER STREET (BETWEEN LOT NUMBERS 104-106) PURSUANT TO ORC 723.041 RETAINING PERMANENT EASEMENT RIGHTS (Applicant, Center Street Community Health Center)

          Mr. Thomas noted that this came out of Streets & Sewers with a 3-0 approval, this is the 3rd reading, and I’ll ask for a public hearing.

NEW BUSINESS:

 

ORDINANCE 2017-60:

ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY AUDITOR TO PAY BILLS FROM THE CITY GARAGE PURSUANT TO SECTION 5705.41 (D) (1) OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

          Mr. Cumston said this came out of Finance with a 3-0 recommendation for approval, motion to suspend, Mr. Thomas 2nd. Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried.

          Mr. Cumston moved to adopt, Mr. Thomas 2nd. Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried. ORDINANCE 2017-60 IS ADOPTED

 

ORDINANCE 2017-61:

ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENTS IN VARIOUS FUNDS FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2017

Mr. Cumston said this came out of Finance with a 3-0 recommendation for approval, motion to suspend, Mr. Huddle 2nd. Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried.

          Mr. Cumston moved to adopt, Mr. Huddle 2nd. Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried. ORDINANCE 2017-61 IS ADOPTED

Mr. Cumston moved to add 2017-62, Mr. Ratliff 2nd, Mr. Thomas 3rd.

Mr. Cumston moved to suspend Rule 56, Mr. Thomas 2nd; Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried.

 

 

ORDINANCE 2017-62:

ORDINANCE ACCEPTING, RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND FOP, OLC AS TO THE GOLD UNIT AND RATIFYING AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

          Safety Director Tom Robbins spoke: This is the collective bargaining with the Steelworkers unit. Clerical Staff and various other persons scattered throughout the City. No problems to deal with. It was ratified.

          Mr. Cumston moved to suspend, Mr. Thomas 2nd. Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried.

          Mr. Thomas moved to adopt, Mr. Cumston 2nd. Roll call: Ayes all, motion carried. ORDINANCE 2017-62 IS ADOPTED

 

          Mayor Schertzer spoke about the Peanut Push, Christmas Parade, and Christmas at the Palace all happening this Saturday, December 2, 2017.

Everyone should come out and support this.
