Trip Procedures & Helpful Hints

Please familiarize yourself with the following procedures to make your Senior Center trip experience more enjoyable.

  • A non-refundable $20 deposit is due at sign-up for ALL trips. You can reserve your spot RIGHT NOW with a $20 deposit!
  • Marion Senior Center doors will not open until 7 am for early departure times.
  • Please park at Northwest corner of the parking lot (nearest Rt. 309) for ALL trips as a courtesy to daily visitors.
  • Boarding passes are issued at check in on a first come/first served basis. If you have special travel needs, we recommend you be among the first to arrive for check in. We will board busses in boarding pass order. Please note you are then free to sit at the open seat of your choice (we do not assign seats). The seat you select will be your seat for the entire trip.
  • Please provide your cell phone number (and/or emergency contact number) at the time of trip sign up.
  • Please make staff aware of any handicap-accessible requirements at the time of sign up. The staff will make every effort to reasonably accommodate handicap-accessible needs we are made aware of.
  • All cancellations will be handled by Center staff. If for some reason you are unable to go on a trip you have signed up for, please call the Activity Coordinator at the Center. You may receive a full refund (less the $20 non-refundable deposit), a partial refund, or no refund at all. The amount of any refund will be based on several factors, including out of pocket expenses incurred by the Center and the policy of the travel agency involved (if applicable).
