As a result of Veterans Day falling on a Saturday in 2023, the federally observed day for the holiday will be Friday, November 10th.  Therefore, offices in City Hall will be closed on Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day.

In accordance with legislation passed by Marion City Council in 1999, the annual "Trick-or-Treat" night in the City of Marion will be observed on Tuesday, October 31 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  The legislation pertaining to the observation of “Trick-or-Treat Night” reads as follows:
