This is a public meeting with staff from the Auditor of State Local Government Services Division as a result of RESOLUTION 2023-017.pdf:  RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF MARION, OHIO REQUESTING THE AUDITOR OF STATE OFFICE’S LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICES DIVISION BE ENGAGED BY THE AUDITOR FOR THE CITY OF MARION TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO RE-ESTABLISH SOUND FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING PRACTICES, TO ASSESS AND RECOMMEND SOUND AUDIT PROCESSES, as amended.

Expected participants include:  representatives from Auditor of State Local Government Services Division (including David B. Thompson, Chief Auditor), City Officials and Staff, and Council Members.

This meeting has been coordinated by the auditor and will proceed at her direction.  As a meeting that includes a public body, this meeting is open to the public at all times.  As a reminder, the Open Meetings Act does not provide attendees the right to be heard at meetings, only access.  Due to the nature of the meeting, public comment may be limted.
