Marion Area Transit (MAT) is a Public Service within the City of Marion. We provide curb to curb, demand response transit bus service, along with an enhanced service bus at a higher fare. All of our services are open to the General Public.
Mission Statement:
Without satisfied passengers, we cannot provide safe, reliable, efficient public transportation, which is what we seek to offer to our community.
Inclement Weather
MAT will follow local emergency levels during inclement weather; however, the safety of our passengers and drivers is of utmost importance. Therefore, at times, it may be necessary to alter bus service due to streets and weather conditions.
Marion Area Transit is Public Transportation operated by The City of Marion and funded in part by The Ohio Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration.

MARION AREA TRANSIT (MAT)
The City of Marion operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the City of Marion.
