AAA Presents
SAFE DRIVING FOR SENIORS
April 26th & 27th from 9:30 till 1:00

If you’re a licensed driver over the age of 55, you might consider taking this informative driving course. You’re probably asking yourself why? One good reason is discounts on your Auto Insurance.  Besides getting lower car insurance rates you will learn about age-related physical changes, and how to adapt your driving to allow for these changes.
Some of the other topics of discussion will be:
*A safe following distance & blind spots.
*How to handle a tailgater
*How to limit your distractions.
*How to properly use safety restraints.
*What effects medications can have on your              driving ability.
*The importance of maintaining a safe vehicle.
*Driving emergencies, mechanical failures, off the road recovery, and loss of traction.
As we age, changes in our vision, flexibility, strength, range of motion and even height may make us less comfortable and reduce our control behind the wheel. Older drivers may need to find ways to cope with physical changes. Checking to see if you and your vehicle fit well together can be as important to your safety as a mechanical checkup!  That’s where “Car Fit” can help. Car Fit is a program designed to give you a quick but comprehensive check of how well you and your vehicle work together. A trained professional will ask you simple questions and complete a 12 point car fit check list. There are a lot of adaptive features that can be added to your car to help compensate for physical changes or simply to make the vehicle fit you more comfortably and safely. This course is being offered for $20.00 and includes all materials needed to complete the class. A certificate will be presented upon completion for your insurance company. Payment is required at the time of sign up. You will have a 30 minute lunch break. If you have any questions, see JeanAnne
